The texture of the month

2023 is a 7 year, the seeker. August 2023 is a 6 month (7 + 8 = 15 → 6). Six is the caretaker, the home, the responsibility to those in your circle.

A 6 month inside a 7 year is the cycle's reminder that the inward journey can become an escape from the people who depend on you. August is when the year insists on a small but real return to the practical care of others.

What this month is asking

Show up for the people in your home. The 7 year has been pulling you inward; the 6 month resets the balance briefly. Then you can return to the deep work in September with a clearer conscience.

Three observations for August:

• A family member needs you in a small, unglamorous way this month. Notice. Show up.
• Care for the home itself. The 7 year has likely neglected it. August is generous about that work.
• Sixes resent over-giving. Care, but also receive. Let someone tend you too.

Even the seeker has a doorstep. Tend it.

September will return to the deepest part of the cycle. August is the cycle's mid-summer reminder that no inwardness is honest if it abandons those who count on you.
