February 2023, The Month of Closure

A 9 month opening the year of the seeker. Before the year of inwardness can settle, February asks you to close what 2022 left open.

The texture of the month

2023 is a 7 year, the seeker. February 2023 is a 9 month (7 + 2 = 9). Nine is completion, release, the closing chord.

A 9 month opening a 7 year is the cycle's threshold. The previous year (2022, a 6 year) was about responsibility and care; the 7 year requires solitude. February is the month between, when the loose obligations of the previous chapter are released so the new chapter can settle.

What this month is asking

Finish what 2022 did not. The 9 month at the start of a 7 year does not allow you to carry obligations into the retreat. The half-finished commitments, the responsibilities you outgrew, this is when they end.

Three observations for February:

• The obligation you have been carrying out of guilt wants to be put down this month.
• The role that no longer fits can be released. The 7 year requires the space.
• Do not negotiate; let the ending be clean. A 9 month rewards clarity, punishes prolonging.

The seeker year cannot begin until the previous year has fully ended.

March will bring the first new seed. February is the soil-clearing month. Make the ground ready.
