The texture of the month

2023 is a 7 year, the seeker. June 2023 is a 4 month (7 + 6 = 13 → 4). Four is the builder, structure, discipline.

A 4 month inside a 7 year is one of the cycle's quietest combinations. The seeker year has been about reflection; the 4 month asks you to apply that reflection to building something steady. Often the building is internal, a habit, a practice, a daily ritual, rather than external.

What this month is asking

Install the practice. Whatever you have been thinking about, journaling, meditation, exercise, study, June is when the structure of it gets built. Not perfectly. Just begun, with enough rigor that it will outlast the month.

Three observations for June:

• Start the daily practice you have been considering. The 4 month is generous about new structures.
• Document. A 7 year that does not write loses its insights. A 4 month makes the writing easier.
• Choose the boring foundation over the exciting expansion. The 7 year cares about depth, not breadth.

The seeker year delivers more than insight; it delivers the habits that hold the insight in place.

July will move you outward briefly. June is the patient month that makes the rest of the year's depth durable.
