A 9 month in the year of the harvest. What you no longer need is asked to leave so the harvest itself can be claimed cleanly.
The texture of the month
2024 is an 8 year, the year of the harvest. October 2024 is a 9 month (8 + 10 = 18 → 9). Nine is completion, release, endings.
A 9 month in an 8 year is the harvest year's necessary subtraction. Before the final harvest months (November, December), October clears the field. What you have been carrying that no longer serves the work, this is when it goes.
What this month is asking
Release before you collect more. Whatever has been growing alongside the main yield, the side project that consumed without delivering, the relationship that drained without nourishing, October is when it is allowed to be set down.
Three observations for October:
- An obligation will end this month that you have been carrying out of habit. Let it.
- Inventory. Look at your calendar, your projects, your subscriptions. The 9 month is generous; it will help you cut what does not serve.
- Do not fill the space. October clears for a reason. November (a 1 month) will plant the small new seed. Trust the sequence.
The harvest year ends in subtraction before it ends in addition.
November will quietly introduce the next cycle's first seed. October is the month that makes room for it.
